Mike Shilov was born and grown up in Moscow. A graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of the Moscow State University, before making a successful career in interior design, has worked for many years in fashion and lifestyle journalism, published the first national lifestyle magazine NRG and collaborated with L'Officiel. Determined to do what has long wanted, interior design, Mike received a profession at the International Design School in Moscow. He continued his education in United Kingdom and Japan, in order to obtain a truly global vision for design and contemoprary living. Today Mike creates private and contract spaces where the commitment to modern lifestyle combines with the adoption of discreet luxury, where beauty and convenience are defined by the criterias of enlightened and experienced persons. Mike's clients are wealthy and educated people who are refining and enriching their lives according to the highest standarts of quality of living.
Interiors and objects created by Mike Shilov are considered to be perfectly balanced, stylish and timeless. The result of this approach is a constant inclusion of Mike Shilov as a top designer in the designers’ hit lists. In 2016 the project developed by Mike for Bosco Verticale skyscraper in Milan, was published in the special “The very best of design” issue of Architectural Digest, among only ten top interior “projects of the year”. Alongside with the principal activity, Mike Shilov maintains a popular blog on art, design and culture of living at ELLE Decoration website. He performs with master classes and lectures at the most important design events in Moscow, St. Petersburg and all over Russia, he also reads for students at the International Design School. Mike loves to share his vision and knowledge because he sees his mission as augmentation of love, beauty and harmony in the world.
